Fund your dream project by trading skills

Have you ever wished you had the skills needed to create the product of your dreams? Maybe you’ve had a great idea, but just don’t have every it takes to make it a reality. In this post I’ll show you a secret that I use to create my dream investments that I in turn sell to bring in extra revenue.

Over the last 6 years I’ve developed quite a talent for building websites. What used to take me days I can now do 50 times better and in only half an hour. Everyone who knows what I do sees me as being an expert in the field. What people don’t realize is that I only have a basic knowledge of programing.

My lack of programing was never a big deal, but it did cause me to put a lot of features on a ‘wish list’, wishing that someone one day would make the code available through a plugin or some other means. One day while discussing this issue with my wife, we came up with the idea to Skill Trade. Ever since, I’ve been able to make anything I could ever imagine.

What is skill trading?

When you skill trade, you do what you’re good at for someone, and in turn they provide their expertise. The first question that came to mind was “Where will I find someone who knows Javascript but doesn’t already know how to put up websites?”. The answer is “It doesn’t matter”.

Instead of finding a match, sign up for an online freelancing website and offer your services. After you have earned some money, use your credit to hire our for the skills you need.

I’ve been using it for some time, and even though most have fees associated with them, it’s well worth it in the end. For example, today I created a website for $250. It took me about 30 minutes of work. I then hired out a programmer to make a plugin for me. What would have taken me about 6 days of work (due to my lack of skill), I was able to have done for only a few minutes of work, doing something that I enjoy and am good at.

So what are you good at? Do you write create content, have photography skills, can help someone move? It doesn’t matter what you’re good at, as long as you can take something you can earn enough at to pay for the skill you need.

Try it out! Make your projects a reality! 🙂
